Default This starter what I need?

My 69 has the typical starting problem that most small blocks seem to have. Hard to start when hot.

I've heard the "mini high torque" starters will alleviate the issue.

So is this starter going to solve the problem? Does it seem like a decent price? And other places that I might be better off dealing with?

Thx,
Kelly

Depends in part on if you want to stay original or not.
I had similar problem on my 68 and tried all the fixes everyone recommended. Had new cables, new battery.
Finally I sent my original starter to John Pirkle, he restored it to factory specs but used High Torque parts for the inner guts and it spins over and starts immediately everytime no matter how hot the engine gets or how long it has been running.
My motor is newly rebuilt so it is extremely tight and this baby now spins over like a jet engine.
Worth every penny I paid for the peace of mind

Usually it is worn out. I bet if you have it rebuilt it will work fine. The small block manafold don't wrap around the starter like a big block. I have never had a problem with a S.B. new or rebuilt stock one.

In a word,
NO!

Get the GM Permanent magnet starter if any. Best all around solution.
