I wanted to intro myself. I'm new to the forum and just aquired a 1975 Convertible, my first vette. Will post some pics when I figure it out. I have learned a great deal reading the forum and look forward to being part of this community.
Welcome to the forum! We poor folks up north seem to be the only ones with time to reply tonight- were snowed in, so we can only talk about cars, not drive them
I found this forum after my first vette too...awhile after, and this forum has provided me the capability to become a "shade tree mechanic" and attempt my own body off resto. There are some really knowledgeable people here.
Welcome.
oh, and about the wave...

just kidding. This is something that I have been seeing less and less of, even though I was taught about it over 25 years ago.
Not to thread jack, but when I was 16 I took my dad's vette out for a test drive after doing some work. I was so focussed on the coolant temp that I ignored a wave of a fellow C3. Later I told my dad about it, and he grounded me from driving the car for over a week. And I fixed the car!!! I learned my lesson.
