I stuck this thread in the C4 section also since I may be on a short fuse with it. Guy called me and said he found a 84 that was being parted out. Crossfire eng and manual tranny were still in it but the wheel and tires were gone along with the windshield. Interior was falling apart. I can get it for about 500. Is there anything in this car that I could use on my 78? He said it had a 5 sp manual tranny but I have since found out they didnt put those in from the factory back then. Plus he didnt sound real sure about the tranny when I started asking questions. I am sure the eng is no good. Its a 3 hour drive from the house and I really dont want to drag the thing back and add to my collection, the wife is getting upset about the minature junk yard I have going behind the house.

It's worth more than that in parts. The front and rear suspensions sell well with street rodders and customizers. Don't hink you would go wrong if you want to sell parts. Not much is usable on a C3 other than a custom application.

If you are into parts, get it. If you're not, tell a friend who is. Nothing there for your car, unless you want to "tweak".

Worth more than that for the suspension. 84 doesn't do as well as 85 up, but still worth more than $500

Only if there is a market for those parts...and if you are willing to tow it somewhere, store it somewhere, take it apart, clean up the parts for sale, market it on the internet, and do the shipping "thing". Sounds like more work that it's worth, to me.

yeah, its about a 350 mile roundtrip to go look at it. I'm not gonna fool with it but if anyone is interested PM me and I will give you the guys number.
Instead,
I found a 77, 78 and 79 Trans Am this morning about 60 miles away for 1200 with lots of spare parts. Got somebody running over to take a look now, am standing by with car hauler now...
