Need close up pics of a 1975 Medium Saddle Interior
Hey guys,
Im in the proccess of getting ready to redo my interior, so bare with me as i ask another interior related question.
My vette was smoked in probably by multiple previous owners. I have started cleaning the interior parts that im going to dye and reuse.
I have noticed that the shifter console, left and right dash pads seems to be a different texture and or material as the say t-top panels and the quarter trim panels.
Also, in the proccess of cleaning the panels in the back, they all seem to have a "texture" to them, with small ridges and vallys. When these were clean and new, were they all one color? or were the vallys in the plastic a darker color?
Thanks!

Here are some pictures of the cleaning im doing. If you look at these panels, are the ridges supposed to be dark or completley cleaned out?

I've seen various pieces of new, never used factory original interior parts come out of boxes after 30+ years of storage. There was no light/dark contrast at all. Just one colour.
My '73 interior was not as stained as yours but most pieces cleaned up relatively well

My 75 has the same texture and look as Jeffery's 73. My seat backs, upper dash pad and pillar mouldings have been replaced and are a solid color, that is why I am currently repainting my interior so that everything matches.

Thanks!

If mine looked like that, I'd put on some heavy duty rubber gloves and start with laquer thinner and go up to acetone.
Also, maybe some 410 - oops - 409 would work along with the above.
