Default who has painted there engine bay?

i want to paint mine the color of the outside. its completely stripped down. pics would be nice. most people paint theres black i know. i'm building a race/show car. trying to be a little differant. thanks

Get ready for some work! I just finished mine and what a PIA. I went the black route with chrome powder coat accents and that was hard enough. I am not trying to discourage you; I just wasn’t prepared for what it took to do a good job. It is worth it in the end, but about midway you may go what was I thinking I know I did.

I painted mine body color. Filled all the holes in the firewall, removed the ac box, moved the ignition system inside the car...much cleaner look.
Used a good high build primer , sanded and painted base coat and a slightly flatened clear.

I wanted to do mine in body color, but thought bright yellow would be impossible to keep clean.
So instead I splatter painted body color over satin black.....
