I think Grant even offers the correct adapter to fit the wheel to the T/T column in your Vette. Tr a search on Grant's website.

Grant makes some st. wh. that are a direct bolt on which is the best way to do it.

I put the Grant black leather one on my Corvette a long time ago. It has polished slotted spokes & a shallower dish which moves it closer to the dash. Nice, direct bolt on about 13 1/2". Ideal, esp. if one is tall.

I put a leather wrapped wheel from a 1978 Corvette on my 73 a few years ago. Direct bolt in and looks like it came with the car. Wheel is two inches smaller in diameter, it has a shallower depth and the rim diameter is much bigger and fits my hands.

I installed a Grant 791 which is a direct bolt on for the corvette, its has a diameter of 14 inches and is flatter than the stock wheel. I purchased it from Jegs.
