Tire Size and Brand Suggestions Needed
Thinking seriously about putting a set of radials on my '70. Want it to look as stock as possible-- in other words not oversized tires. The car is unrestored and does not have that "extra" height that you often see in cars with new front and rear suspensions.
I was thinking of 235s but not sure about 60 or 65 series and what brand that people are happy with.
Thanks!
Tom

70 series tires are what is correct for a '70. The closest cross to the original F70-15 is a P215/70R15 in current size designations.
A 60 series may work and may rub...that seems to be a car by car thing.
As far as brands, you're opening up a big can of worms! We all have our personal preferences and experiences. I have had very positive experiences with Cooper Cobra's and Lifeliner Touring tires, BFG Radial T/A's and Dunlops. Others here have had good experiences with Firestone Firehawks and Goodyear. You'll find some who have had less then good experiences with those tires as well. You'll get other recommendations as well.
