Good to have those anti-theft devices on your baby

Here's the first step that I took the other day on starting to fill the rear valance.I will try to get some pics from yesterday here later.
I ALWAYS ALWAYS start at the back for reinforcement when I do fiberglass work if at all accessable,but.......because of normal body flex,etc....there were areas of the rear valance where it wasn't "flush w/the surrounding body,so I got all the bolts in place,put screws in a couple areas that were away from the body's rear section,and did just one strip of glass to hold it into place.Then....I went to the backside yesterday,and glassed there.Today,or tomorrow...I will remove the bolts/screws from the front,make a template fot the cutouts,and glass them,then grind everything down,and come back at it w/wider strips around all the edges on the outside,grind her down alittle,then attack w/ long board by hand to start getting her straight.I'm itching already....

I am PATIENTLY waiting for progressive linkage to come from Eelco Mfg.,so she is more streetable. My plugas are so fouled right now....I can barely keep the thing running.I wasn't going to change the plugs until the new linkage comes,cause I fouled this new set out in a couple days,but if my linkage doesn't show up today USPS,then....new polugas are in order this am,if I plan to drive her.
I didn't get the susp. rebuilt like I wanted,cause I am too busy,but did get new shocks on her.I had a new rear fiberglass spring,but it sat up like a truck,and to me....there is nonthing worse looking than a vett w/all types of room on top of the tires to the wheel openings in the fender/quarters,so she has the org. BB susp. still there.I did throw on a new sway bar,but might go back w.the chromed org.9/16ths piece,if I don't like the feel....

These are the only engine pics that I have that are new.
And....here's the belly of the beast.At one time...many a moons ago...I bet this was really a beautiful car....

Looking good Kevin, it must be a pain putting that hairy stuff on. I bought two panel with the ears and they fit like crap so I bought an original 69 panel. This panel has to look good because it's the one most cars will see! I'm fitting my panel right now also, remind me, I have a story to tell you about the border !

here's the roughed in pics.....

and....starting to rough in w/grinder,then level w/long board,and 80 grit......

and....stopping to clean the shop after the floods.....

Floods= Oh well....the shop needed a good cleaning,anyways....

Why didn't you have your cute bikini clad assistant help clean the shop and cars. The pics would have been a great lifter for such a rainy day here.
