I'm just waiting to see the dyno sheet so I can decide if I'll have DB build a clone for me. I'm sure there are many others that are ready and waiting to send some cash to DB and get him started on their engines pending the outcome of this build.

It is all GM, but it's simply a stock setup from an F-body, cleaned and painted, with a few brackets and delete pulleys for the A/C and smog pump.

Here are some pics of it installed.

Another question, did your car come with power barkes, or did you add them? Mine doesn't have, but i want them.

This '74 had stock power brakes. We're actually getting ready to replace the vacuum booster with a hydraulic power brake booster that uses the power steering system for the assist instead of engine vacuum. I have it on my '77 and LOVE it compared to the stock vacuum brakes.

I think if someone was looking to upgrade to power brakes it would be better to go to the hydraulic brakes instead. It's easier, and will cost about the same...with better performance gains.

Delete pulley, with the belt tensioner next to it.

Just a quick note here from the owner of this new motor. I took it out yesterday for my first real drive. With all the rain and work I've been doing I haven't had much time for driving it. I had a two hand grip on this monster! Good lord this thing is a beast........It launches like a missile taking off and the power is so responsive it's unbelievable. Sure is a far cry from that worn out L82. Three words sum up this experience, "Need New Underwear"……………..

Thanks again DB...........

I doubt I'll being doing many post this summer. I found something that is going to be hard to get out of. I might have to take out a small loan this summer to pay for my gas expenses. Oh well, it'll be worth it..........

Did you get much driving in today Curt? The weather here in St. Louis was hot today but luckily no rain.
