Default Post your pictures of the worst condition corvette you have ever found

I thought it would be interesting to post pics of the worst condition corvette you have ever found. also include a story and asking price of the owner if possible.

I'll start:

I found this car in a field near to my home. The car was in real horrible condition, and the owner would not even dream of selling it. Missing the hood and motor and needed EVERYTHING replaced or rebuilt

The look on the guy's face (yours?) says it all

I don't have a pic, but when I was a kid delivering newspapers back in the late '70's, there was this old lady who had a convertible '72 Corvette sitting in her front yard, with grass starting to grow up around it...

Many years later, I finally knocked on her door and asked her if it was for sale. She said "oh no, my son drives it all the time, it's not for sale". By then, the wheels were 6 inches in the ground. Turns out her son was really in prison. (That's when I said "ALLL RIGHTEEEEE, THEN!" and left) What a complete waste of a good Vette.

ps - was that photo taken in WV ? I see the state flower in the background (satellite dish) Nevermind, I see the TX license plate now.

1970 #15134 near TwentyNine Palms, CA in 2004. Rebodied as an 80' then burned. Lots missing, and of course I bought it for the frame, as even though it had a 4 speed automatic, the frame was a 4 speed. Beginning the part out however, things changed....Now a project of mine...Was probably a very neat car at one time, originally the dark blue with blue interior, then a Black? 80 with a modern "84" engine and drivetrain, relocated x member, offset trailing arms, high perf front suspension. In any case the farthest gone...but how could I let the poor thing end there?

Well these needed everthing...except a home, they already had that. As it looks, these are C-1's sitting it out. These were in rough shape, but these were easily restorable. very good projects...well as to not hijack the thread....

TO West Virginia!

25 years in a wet barn. The frame just crumbled when we put a jack under it.

That's rough. Looks like it was dragging a wheel.

Actually all 4 wheels were frozen solid. We also had to put a hole int he door to get it to open.

The car was purchased by a buddy of mine and I went to help drag them (yes them) out. There were two of them. Both numbers matching cars with clear titles. He sold both off but I do not know what happened beyond that.

And yes, that is mold - LOTS of it!

These were from the other #'s matching 69 Small Block vert:

My winch pulled the thing up with all 4 wheels frozen.

I'll admit that if I had the re$ource$ and the t-i-m-e, I'd look for strays like these to restore to their former glory. Sure would have to reach deep to stiffen my resolve for some of these poor units. It's both depressing and hard on the eyes. Dang!

Then reality sets in to remind me there's work to be done at the current paying job and quit surfing CF ! Gotta get back to it before the big chief stops to ask status of the assigned project; yikes!

I don't have any pics but therer is one here in Spokane that is on the lower south hill. It is a green Split window fuelie that has say in a pile of dirt and garbage for 30 some years. The people who own say ir belonged to there son who died and they chase everyone who even comes near it off with a shot gun. Verry sad to see such a beautiful car go to waste!
