Sweet Hooker sidepipes! (see last entry for my dilemma!)
Well, I got the the sidepipes in on my vette, and am currently running straight pipes until I get my MAXFLOW mufflers from Summit, but it looks good all the same I'd say!
-The finish is Sterling from JET-HOT and it was much better to go trhough them guys. It costs the same to get them perfectly ceramic coated from JET-HOT as the standard ones direct from Hooker
Anyways, opinions much appreciated!

It sounds like a beast, but I have to get mufflers, I'm not willing to risk a ticket for noise violations here in California. I can't wait to be able to drive it around leaglly now though, once the mufflers arrive!

I know, I plan on it, but I decide to waist effort on trying to install them, and then pulling them off again to put the mufflers on again!
Now all I need is to paint the hood to match color wise, and fill in the rear panel from the old stock exhaust.

TimAT, how did you fab up the rear deck for the Le Mans gas gap, I'm afraid to modify it with glassing around it, and then decide to go for the original cap style.....unless you found that fits up with the existing hole?

Wow, so I installed the MaxFlows today, and took it to the beach....what an amazing sound! Even the cops at the cafe where my dad and I stop and get coffee said that it sounded great, and looked cool! Still love that burning leg affect though...

Looks good. What color is that? I even like your hood. I went through the same hood thing with mine several years ago.

The color is what it had on it when I bought it, and it was done very poorly with bubbles and it's chipping almost everywhere! The color from what previous owner told me is Dodge Viper Blue, an odd color for a Vette IMO.
Yep, as I put a different intake on, the hood gap was too close for the stock sagging hood, so I went with the LT-1 look, as well as the engine being upgraded a little past LT-1 specs.

Dean.....I believe that Jack got ahold of you,and thanked you,but I wanted to say that you covers you made for us ROCKS!!!!Very nice, and you are truly a craftsman.
Also....I have to say that when I got them....I was screwed up,and you are the first person that has sent me something from overseas. It took me a second, then I was ahhhhh....Bangkok Dean.
Sorry OP.....you should holler at Dean for some of his covers.NICE!!!

That lid fit the existing hole after we removed the original flapper door and hardware. No mods to the glass other than drilling 4 holes in the lip to mount it. It's been there since '72 I think. Long time ago in a land far away.
