New idea for C3 paint....
Okay guys, I was looking through different race Vette pic's and really liked the paint on top of the front clip and hood.
Like this.
My dad's Vette was treted poorly by it's previous owner, and gave it a cheapo paint jobo. From this, the paint on the top of the fenders is beginning to chip away and peel and crack. Along with having a bear non-painted hood, I saw this and the light bulb went off in my head Why not try this top paint job to help along the issue, clean it up, and make it look a little cooler!
For one, anyone try this on their car, or what's the oinion on how this will turn out?
Thanks!

That's what I was thinking R-R-V. My dad and I just buffed it maybe 3 days ago, and it looks real smooth, and after we got the overspray off of it, and then noticed that it was glossy smooth, but the paint was a scuff and spray scheme I think. it does look decent though, and I really might be looking into it while my March is being painted. Who knows, maybe a strip is in do as well.....

I was also thinking about doing the top in maybe black or satin black, with a one inch stripe around it to hide the paint cracks directly on the top of the fenders......Who knows, but it just seems to be a cheap and easy thing to do since the paint isn't clear-coated
Anyone that is good with photoshop, any chance you'd be able to show me what this will look like with this pic?
Thanks in advance!

it's just an idea....you don't have to be so critical of it....that was the idea that was in my head. I was just seeing what it might look like on a car, but geeze!
