The Big car shows....
Please give me some DUH answer's or the smash guy icon for a very obvious answered question.....but, are the big Corvette events a good venue for picking up parts? Door panels, rear compartment tubs, etc. Figure it will be a lot more fun to walk around looking at the parts, than clicking my mouse.

We'll,I've hit a few, It depends sometimes on what your looking for. New parts can be hit or miss sometimes, and used parts are what you may allready have. But if you combine the car show with it, it's not so bad. Thats just my take on it.

At the Bloomington gold show in St Charles a few weeks ago, I bought a new soft top from Al Knoch. Al sold me the top & set me up with a real nice Rum & Coke (coke from Mexico in the tall glass bottles, haven't seen that in years). One of his employees was putting on a soft top right there and I was able to see what the job entailed while sipping my drink. I had a much better experience than buying one off the internet & it was around $100 cheaper all total.

Yes. You should at least make it to Corvettes @ Carlisle next month. With fuel prices, economy woes, this may be the last, best, good, large meet?
I know it costs a lot for parts vendors to travel with their wares, it cost me about a grand for flight, hotel, rental car, meals just to attend this event every year.
However I haven't found anything better!!!!!!

Carlisle is a must attend for parts. Remember, the first day is when all the good stuff will be snatched up, but the last day is when you get the real bargains.

Carlisle was IT even before people knew what IT was.

Al Knoch is at most shows and brings most of the stuff with. I have bought door panels, carpet, etc. and saved good coin. They have a discounted show price and you don't pay shipping.
