Default Electrical Issue's

1st post so please go easy on me! I have an '81 and am having some issues with attempting to get a few items to work. 1st is the horn, I replaced the horn relay, then took apart the steering collumn and put in the new parts from ecklers...still no horn? I also cannot get the AC to operate. This car was worked on prior and has several splices in wiring harnesses. I was going to remove the c115 (the area inside the hood where the wires come through the firewall but I have no idea if I disconnect this, what to expect. Is this just a connection point (do the wires clip into this) or do the wires travel through the firewall itself.
Thanks!

This may sound dumb but did you check the fuses?

I should have indicated that, yes I did check all fuses just in case the previous owner had changed something in the fuse pannel.

First thing I would do is go to the harmonica connector (c144) and ground the black wire (position G)on both sides of the connector and see if the horn relay clicks.

Thanks, I will try the harmonica connector when I get back home, have been in Houston since Hurricane Ike (mid September)..Nice weather down here, but it will be nice to get home to Michigan even though it will be cold. I appreciate all your input!
