Didn't wave at a C4 today

Check the C4 For Sale Section. The neon lights are probably worth more than the car. The market was brutal this summer for C4s and with winter approaching....You have to feel sorry for some owners: they have gorgeous and well-maintained cars that basically have no market value. It's a shame. I recall a local C4 that sold for $22,000 three years ago and would not fetch $8,000 today.

That's how I found my three 1977 Vettes for less than $5K each...no one was interested in them for more. Now however, the price is rising, and I suspect the C4s will get the same treatment.

Melting Slicks
I've got a guy at work that wants to sell me his White on Black '86 with a new interior and nice paint for $2K. Everything works, all it needs is new tires and a set of valve cover gaskets. He's had it up for sale for a year now with no interest from anyone on it.

I've tried to like 'em, but there's just somthing missing. Even have a good friend that owns one. To me, the C3's are curvy, like a sexy woman, and the C4's just don't have it. But that's just me, they're probably pretty to some folks.

In all honesty, while I prefer the body style of the C3 over the C4, if I had a C4 parked in the yard, after a while, I'm sure it would start to grow on me. Funny how that works. When Harley Davidson phased out the shovel heads in the 80's and introduced the Blockheads, I said nobody's gonna want that. Going by Harley sales figures, I guess I was wrong. lol. I figure the C4's will see a surge in value in the coming years. Seems to happen to each generation. As recently as 2 years ago, I could find rubber bumper C3's in this area in good shape for 5-8K. Now it seems to be more in the 8-15K range. Asking price anyway.

All vettes have something special about them...C3`s have their curves.
The only thing I find tough about C4, when its coming at you, they resemble an 80`s firebird.
So the hesitated wave happens...is it or isn`t it...ah too late its gone by.
Sorry I didn`t wave to half of the C4`s until it`s to late...then I wave bye bye...
