How to install upper and lower auto shifter seals?

I could be mistaken, but I believe he is asking about the thin plastic seals that fit over the shifter lever and slide back/forth in the curved metal guide. And the answer to your question is... "Yes." The one with the round hole is on bottom; the slotted one goes on top.

I am also trying to take apart my center console to replace the shifter slide shields... Does anyone know how to remove the old shifter seals to put the new ones on? My shifter console seems to be hung up on something, so I cannot just lift it up completely to access underneath. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!
