Looks like you are off to a GREAT start!

I also like seeing the case of Pennzoil motor oil in the shop. (That keeps me employed Ha! Ha!)

Good luck with the rest of the project.

.....and on the 13th day God created Corvette

Thanks for the compliments guys. Ive been back into this lately so I hope to have more pictures in the next few days. Ive been detailing the frame before painting. It takes quite a while to do and sure doesnt look like much was done. Im trying to get every 'nook and cranny' even thought nobody else is going to see it.

Default Frame Detailing

Well after 5 days its almost ready for primer on the frame. Ive used every grinding and sanding tool they make , from die grinders to files to sanders to sanding sponges to old fashioned sheets of sand paper. It doesnt seem like you get much done and its probably never going to be seen. If you ever go this far with a frame the rotisseire is definately the way to go. For a 200.00 investment it gives you great access to all parts of your frame. When its time to paint the frame is when it should really pay off. one guy can roll it over and keep spraying.

Its easy to learn how to weld. Its called Practice, Practice, Practice and then some more Practice. Buy a cheap 110 volt mig welder from Harbor Freight and just play around with it. I couldnt stick two pieces of metal together to save my life when I started. If its something you really want to learn it will be easy.

The main garage is 30 x 50 then I added on another 13 x 50 on the back.....Hmmm maybe thats why the wife is now the ex.... But anyway, the floor is 6 " thick but I think you can get away with 5". Check with the kift manufactures and see what they require. Each post uses 4 anchors, installs in one day easily.

Dont cut into your garage ceiling just yet. Consider this: My lift posts are only 9'-2", Take a look at your car height and see how high you want to lift it, 6' is the max with most lifts. You also loose a little from when the lift starts to when it starts to lift the car, approx 6". If your ceiling is low it will still work. Start at the roof of your car and see how high the ceiling is above that. That is how far you can lift the car. It shouldnt be a problem for any corvette to go up quite a ways. Unless you writ back and tell me you have an 8'-0" ceiling.

I bought the car June 29 for ME for my Birthday. Happy Birthday to Me I started on it then got busy at work and took two minths off. So I guess I have about 4 1/2 months part time so far. But it has only been a few hours each night and some on weekends.

Almost that bad 8' 4"

It's a three car and I would like to raise the side that is a 2 car side maybe 3'-5'. I got tons of room I can almost stand up in the attic and I am near 6'. It'll give me room to raise the Blazer full height and work on the Vette too.
