Body filler for 1982 Vette
I have a couple of repairs to make on my door, most notably a crack in the lip of the door just above and behind the door handle. Do I need to attempt a repair using fiberglass matting or is there a mixable filler like Bondo that contains fiberglass I could use. The area I plan to repair is pretty thin so I think it would be difficult to use matting.

Look for "short strand filler" also refered to as Mar-Glass. Depending on the severity of the crack, you may have to use reisin & cloth first.

Short strand filler
USC Duraglass works pretty good...Sand it before it hardens all the way( like an hour after application) and it cuts pretty easy.. grind away the loose stuff before applying...
