Default Window Adjustments / Bolts?

My drivers side windows is not going up and down properly. The motor seems fine as is the switch, etc but it just seems off. When it goes down, it is slightly off angle and does not go down all the way. Same thing on the way up......Just kinda **** eyed.

I was told first place to start is the adjustment bolts for the tracking mechanism. Since I do not want to just start messing with things randomly, I wanted to post a pic and see if you guys could tell me which ones I should start with. So here is the pic of my door and my thanks

Both the AIM & Chassis service manual go into great depth on window adjustment. I would look there to become familiar with each bolt and what effect it has.

You need to be carful with adjusting these things. Especially if it rolls up and seals fine. If it doesn't thats another issue. I notice from your picture the two bolts in the center of your door are backed off. Those 2 hold the regulator in place...are they loose for a reason.

Sounds like a roller issue and not an adjustment issue. Unless you or someone has previously tampered with it.

Messing things up are exaclty what I am worried so I am hoping for some sage advice from the group.

In terms of the window, it does not go up correctly either. It gets almost there but ends up cockeyed and slanted towards the front of the car. As for the bolts, I htink that is an optical illusion as they are just towards the bottom of the slant they can move within. If those are the bolts for the regulator, though, is it possible the reg just slid all the way down too far?

Here is a picture from the opposite side. See the part i was refering to in the middle...those two bolts hold the regulator level...if its loose there the window will go up crooked. I think you have amechanical failure somewhere. Not an adjustment issue. the window should go up straight in all circumstances. The upper stops determine if one side goes up higher then the other. So if its going up crooked its not an adjustment thing. If it goes up or down level and stops crooked it is an adjustment thing. There are 4 stops...two at the top and two at the bottom. Do a visual and make sure all the components are connected and nothing is broken. Use the pic at the bottom as a guide.
