$295,000.00?
What can I say...it's a beautiful piece of work. But do you think anyone will ever pay that much for it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/69-TW...1%7C240%3A1308

That car has been on this forum and ebay at least 4-6 times in the last few months. My guess is it is more advertising for them then it is to sell the car and I can't say I blame them for doing it that way. And if someone comes along and buys it, more the better.
There's a lot of great stuff in that car but there are also a few things that could use some tweaking (IMHO). I know that when I sell mine, which I've been contemplating, I'll never get what I have in it and it's not the type of thing for just anyone. You have to find the right buyer who would rather pay more for something completed that is customized in a particular way.

I usually don't go for the flashy mods, but this car is just beautiful. I think the paint job cost more than my restored '70 vert.
You have to look at the ebay listing, go all the way down to the questions, some of them are pretty funny. There are a few offers to trade, etc.

I've seen it a few times. IMO it is grossly overpriced. The side pipes coming out of the vents just don't look good. I'm sure it's a heck of a car to drive. They put alot of money into it but they need to knock off over $200,000 on the price

A classic example of throwing money at a vehicle in an attempt to make a great car....

but some rich guy either here or Europe will look real close at it.. the owner just has to sit back and wait for a offer that is closer to what he is asking... What would Jay Leno pay? Or a rich guy with a car like this on his bucket list? The owner is looking for that right buyer...
it is way out of reach for most, if not all, of us here at CF. Think of BJ or other high end auction houses that make us laugh at how in the world they get those prices.... and even though most of us here don't believe in NADA Prices, lots of people do..
IMHO.....

It is not a "great car", IMHO. The basic vehicle is a 'standard' C3. The aerodynamics have not been improved, etc., etc. Drop in a big, high$$$ engine; add in a new high$$$ suspension system; how about a high-powered, high$$$ sound system; and, of course, fancy new wheels and rubber. Any of us could do that with our cars and get it done for less than $100K. Why spend three times that for someone else to do it???

It's a custom car period, 50 cents on dollar for all parts and no real recoup for the labour actually put into it. Period. Ballpark 30-40 grand
It's obviously been parked in the Barret Jackson back lot too long.
With 200 miles on it those back tires must have been spinning pretty hard for 199 of the 200 miles
It is a nice Vette though, but he has to take the 2 off the front of price to get any decent offers

Insertion fee is 0.35c plus 15c or so for extra pics, for fixed price auction, he only pays ebay their percentage if he sells it. He probably doesn't really want to sell that car unless he gets a offfer close to the asking price which is doubtful.
He wants to sell other cars the company will build for you Yes it is very cheap advertising
