This is so awesome, I'll try to improve the look of my carpet too. You bought this product at Auto Zone ?
Thank you for posting this. I'll try to find this spray and improve the look of my carpet too.

Yup, local Auto Zone. I was looking for something else when I spotted it. I figured what the hell? I'll give it a try. The beauty of it is you can do touch ups down the road if necessary.

I used flat black. I think I'd use a satin or semi gloss for panels if I needed to fix those.

Nice job Glenn!! I did mine a few years back with RIT. I found it in the local supermarket. It also worked real well. Your car is looking good hope to see you soon up at Bear Mountain Cruise.

An old trick for carpets, but work very nice. When I did this to cars I'd do a light coat, let dry and then use a stiff brush to soften the carpet fibers. Spray again, let it dry and do the brush again. Sorta like lather, rince, repeat, hahahaha.

I think this would not be a problem. Even though my carpet was black, I still gave it 4 coats to really penetrate the fibers. I would think the same would work for almost any carpet color you want to change to black.

Body mounts are done. Doing some fiberglass repairs as part of the while I am at it syndrome.

N.B. I tried to send you a PM but they tell me your private message file is full and will not accept any more messages.

That was my thinking many, many years ago regarding the carpet in the Z28 in my avatar, so I sprayed it. The color is still holding up nicely.
