Hey Panic. Where you been? I love your car, Black is Beautiful. What do you have the weight down to now, in lbs? I'm down to 3160 lbs. Hope to get down to 3000lbs someday. I guess with your wide open front end, you don't have cooling issues, and your headlights don't pop up at high speeds.

I've been around here but I don't post much in C3 area...I'm mainly in ''Politic, religion and controversy''....

The car weights same as a few months ago: 2.770lbs with about a gallon of fuel...

The open front end is unbelievable good for cooling and together the large alu rad and the twin electric fans, temp never goes over 170/180, even in hot summer.

I know this is an old thread, but I also know Bee Jay still watches these from time to time. Bee Jay, do you recall or have pictures of how you retained the "bumper lumps" while cutting away the rest of the plate behind the number plate? Did you retain the rubber triangle that supports the point of the nose? I'm working on the same part of my car at the moment.

Never mind, having it apart now I see that the "bumper lumps" are molded into the bumper as well, so I'm guessing you have just retained the bumper and removed that rubber and steel monstrosity (that piece weighs 5.6kg/~12.3lb!! And right at the very tip of the nose too!).

Did you take any weight out of the side support brackets (pictured)? Those suckers weigh over 3kg (including bolts) each side!

You are addressing an individual in a thread who last posted over 9 years ago.

Please send that member a PM for direct contact, or start a new thread, possibly including a link to this very old one for reference
