Horn install..PICTURES
Finally took the plunge and got two new horns. A note and B note (cause thats what they had) One high and one low, according to the packages..My '72 originally only came with one horn, but PO had installed 2 at some point. The horns were mounted on the rear inboard corner of the headlight "horseshoe" frame. Holes were already drilled so I used them (not to reinvent the horn, so to speak). They are tucked up under the forward cowling, pretty much next to the headlight vacuum relays.
Here's a view of both horns from above...
And a couple from below at various angles...
Now if I can only get power to them!!! But thats for another day!!!

Got them at NAPA, says FIAMM on the horns, I think that's a very common manufacturer of auto horns. $14 apiece.

I think 69 came with an A and an F.
I am close to this stage and have acquired two sets over the years:
FIAMM A72002 and F72112- about $15 ea (110 decibels)
A/C Delco D1295C (A note) and D12922C (F note) - $45 ea (135 decibels).
Neither have the bracket welded on. The FIAMM looks like it has a connector that does not have to be spliced.

Rob, you don't like the 72's "one note song"?
The original horn is a 9000032 which I think is an F note. They are extremely hard to find. They were only used in 72 and 73 I think.
I got a 9000245 from a friend and am using that for the time being.

for 1969 the AIM says 9000245 Low and 9000246 High - but it does not designate the actual note.
