I have owned an '82 for 23 years and now have 275,000 miles on it. So I have a great deal of knowledge about the Crossfire Injection system used on it.

Sounds like you Bill. My 82 had been sitting for seven years or so, and after replacing the computer, I am still suprised at how well mine runs.

Default Mufflers for 82 CE

It is a 27 year old car however and I personally would not recommend it for a DD. I used mine as a DD for 6 months last year and began to develop a serious love-hate relationship. All the squeaks and rattles I thought gave the car character soon started to grind on my nerves! I finally got a Truck to drive on a daily basis.

Now that I only drive the Vette on the weekends again I've fallen head over heels in love with it all over. It's kind of like eating chocolate cake. It's a wonderful treat but I can't eat it every single meal.
Saw your post that was back in 09. I'm wanting new mufflers on my CE. Would you go stock or something else? My car is all stock. By the way, my crossfire runs really good. Thanks

Answering a 7 year old post usually doesn't work out. Send the member a PM or start a new thread on the topic.
