Brandshatch Green 71 - Barn Find???

Race Director
I knew about this a week ago. David wanted me to come up and give Sparty a once over and take it for a final drive. Which I did. The new owner is getting a brand new 71 Vette. It drives and rides very good. Not the powerhouse cars I am used to but a nice cruising car. I'm sure the new owner will get many pleasurable miles out of it.
Knowing David it was time to move on. He spent many hours and dollars on this car but it is time to move on. I have always heard you have 1 original restoration in you then you decide to have fun with a car. David has done his 1 and now it is time to move onto the racer. This will be a fun car. Everyone is sorry to see their cars go but it also opens a new chapter. So adios to Sparty can't say hello to the racer because we are a year into this one but now its full on with this project. Good Luck David. PS you now have to change the trailer logo to a racer trailer!

David, I was always amazed how "new" Sparty looked in person. Like a trip back in time. The new owner is very fortunate to acquire such a fine detailed restoration. Looking forward to watching the racer and whatever is next.

Hi David, nice that it sold but sad to see that. Bittersweet for you I know. LooKs like the new owner will get a great ride. The way you work on things is a credit to the forum and to guys like me. Take care and we all will be following your future projects.

I have plenty to keep me busy with my 1972 Road Race Replica build and my 1975 Coupe project as well. When the winter winds blow here it will be tough to keep the garage warm, but I will try.
I hope you enjoy that year around restoration weather, envy you that.
Best regards,
David

I remember reading this thread sitting in my sophomore college history class at UC thinking how cool if was to see the original green on green and how near it looked. The progress has been awesome and I'm glad to hear it's going to a good home. I think it goes without saying it's an extremely impressive car and we'll all miss seeing it around here. Hopefully you can get some professional style pictures of it before it goes to the new owner
One more thing, what you do for the forum is awesome and while I haven't commented before, it sure doesn't go unnoticed.
