Default AAARRRGGGHHH......wrong part

I'm needing this part to install my front clip. Went to pick it up today and wow...thats smaller than the one I took off. In a 12x10x4 in box they shipped a 9x2x2 in part, that cost me 24US to ship. Keep in mind this is not the company I'm dealing with. They had no stock. This is he part I wanted

This is the part I got.

All the books and websites got this right except this well known company. I know mistakes happen so I'm giving them the benefit. It looks like it's mislabelled but I'm curious to see how they're going to deal with it.

I just got a call back from the vendor, they said they shipped it out as soon as they got it which was the 26th of October. I was told on the phone on the 22nd of Oct it was IN STOCK, that would be the wrong part they shipped me of course.

This Company....Zip tells me now that the actual part won't be available until December 2nd. But hey, they got my money right. What experience have other customers had with Zip. Is it just the fellow that I had been dealing with that is the issue?

This part is whats holding me back from putting my front clip on and this twit at Zip set me back 2 weeks to a month because he said they had it in stock when I could have kept looking for someone that did.

Can you get a refund and then order the part from another supplier?

That's what I ended up doing for a part I needed that they said would be in stock in a couple days but it ended up being further delayed without being able to get a time frame for when they would have it. I canceled the order with no problem and then I ordered the part elsewhere.

Bummer. I've had no issues with ZIP. I placed an order reciently, and they told me one of the parts was back ordered and would be in on a certain date. I called the day after they said it would be in stock, and indeed it was shipped to me the day before. So keep after them and hopefully they will make good.

They occasionally just show up at a small bar and play for the night too. You don't find out until after they've played.

This is not a bash zip thread. It was their one worker that wasn't up front with me and how the part got mislabeled and shipped in a large box is a mystery. The part could almost fit in your standard envelope.

As per a few posts on this thread, great service. It didn't take long to get an IM from Paul at Zip looking to clear this small issue up. Good service is hard to come by these days. I'll be thinking of these guys when I'm looking for stuff in the future.
