Paul,

That windjammer looks good on yours. I've had mine for awhile, but I haven't put it on yet. Seeing yours, I'll have to get on that.

Mine is off for the winter as the top went up. Just a 2-minute adjustment. Nice unit. Believe me it really flows the air over top and out of your face!

Just a few further comments after I have reflected on your post. And my own 1974. Nice to have others perk me up and make you think of your own situation. I thank you for that.

There were 5,474 convertibles produced in 1974. How many remain, Who knows? But I would guess less than 1/2. Are they rare? Obviously. Is that reflected in the price? I would say no. They are still seen as rubber bumper cars that many people poo-poo. But you have a very classic Corvette. Not many remain. Keep it.

I'm currently working on getting photos loaded on this site. been busy. I have some on the camera and will do this as soon as possible. Going to need nose/tail pieces. Cracked. Interior upgrades from original from last owner. One small hole in top.

In my opinion '74 is the perfect year!

Clean lines
Rubber bumper (with NO funky bumperettes)
No catastrophic converter
Dual exhaust
Had a variety of engine (and transmission) choices (I'm a small block fan)
Fiberglass floorboards (no rust issues with the floorpans)
Available in coupe or convertible!

For me, this year just had everything going for it......

You forgot the seat belt interlock system. But that can be easily bypassed.

Bjsvette finally has some photos. I have taken over for Bill as far as this site is concerned. Bill do'es not own a computer so, I am now Bill by proxy. I uploaded a few shots I took in his garage. I know that he needs both bumper pieces. He can get reproduction pieces that are supposedly more durable and cheaper or the real deal for more $$$$. It is also my web address and I will relate any and all messages to Bill and Janice. Patrick Hilton.
