I got a 77 and trying to get the outside door handles off so i can replace it. This is turning out to be quite a task. I cant seem to get the armature off it. Anybody know an easy way to do this?

I had to use an impact gun to get my seatbelt bolts out. The handles will come out you just have to figure out the right way to twist and turn them. I had my door panels off and windows up when I did it. Word of caution: put painters/masking tape around the door handle to prevent scratching the paint!! Don't know if this helps at all but it's just my experience! -Neal
Yes Sir: Just remove the latch ***. screws, let it drop down, then you can take both nuts off and unhook linkage to handle, and reverse to reinstall . Don't unhook any linkage from latch ***. Have a great day. Gene
