Reviving an old chestnut!!!
It's interesting the the designer of the Mako Shark would build anything so hideous!!!

Gee, I dunno guys. Afterall, it has a "built 305" ... ! Imagine the torque out of that monster. Yawn.
The biggest understatement the seller makes is "No other like it".
There's someone (J. Silva?) out there I'd like to Thank for that...

Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo would look right at home in that baby! Maybe Hollywood could use it for a new movie; Empty Nest Vacation.

Yep...this one is getting old but since I defend customs and I am rather bored today...
When I talk my own smack about this car I would feel like I was shooting a guy in a wheelchair if it wasn't for the lack of humility in the ad....

This piece of yard art is a hack job and I have no defense of hack jobs...even hitting it with a few cans of flat black would help,
A "built" 305, okay no matter how much you polish it a turd is still a turd.

The other thing that bothers me about this one is no rhyme or reason how far would you get driving it before the parts would get knocked off?

If he lowered the price to about 800.00 perhaps but 4K I just do not see that happening...
Give the seller a break at least he wants to get rid of it.....
....and then....

John Silva worked with Joel Rosen of Baldwin/Motion, on the Motion "Maco" Corvette conversions, that were designed to look like the Chevrolet Mako Shark II. He had nothing to do with the real Chevrolet Mako Shark or the 1965 Mako Shark II, which were the work of Bill Mitchell and Larry Shinoda, I believe.
Silva and Chrysler were involved in a legal battle over the design of the Viper. If I remember right, Silva was building a car for someone, that looked very much like the Viper. When Chrysler found out about the car (which was built on 70's Corvette running gear), they sued him for stealing the Vipers design. Silva counter sued, claiming that he had designed the Viper and sent drawings of it to Chrysler, trying to sell them the design, and that they subsequently stole his design. I don't remember if there ever was a final ruling on the case, but I do remember that Silva admitted that the Viper looked very little like his car.

John Silva died about 15 years ago.
