Farewell, gentlemen! I sold my car on Ebay yesterday. I know inquiring minds want to know.....$14,000 for a NOM 4-speed 1972 Coupe. I have a shade over $16,500 "invested" in it (and a few skinned knuckles!).
The buyer got a good deal. It's a really nice driver. He was a long distance buyer with no inspection.....Good thing I'm an honest dude! To be honest with myself, I figured that's what I would get for it.
I want to thank the "Brain Trust" here at Corvette Forum. I have gathered a wealth of information from you guys, and I really appreciate it. I will miss my Vette, but it's time to move on. Maybe a Cobra replica is in my future.....

Saw a red Cobra at the parts store Sat that would have stoked that fire that car was immaculant! Had the hood up to show off the FE power. Wanted to snap a pic to show to a buddy(he has a half-completed one sitting in his garage and needs the motivation) but left my cell at home.....
Congrats. I know it is a difficult market these days. I've been trying to sell mine for a while, so hopefully I'll join you in the previous owner category.

Absolutely, my Son-In-Laws Father Has a georgeous White one with blue stripes, it is fast and turns heads everywhere. I went with him to a Sunday morning gathering with the local Cobra club members it was very
Problem is... they are SO CHEAP now that it just doesnt pay (by a long shot) to buy the kit and put it all together....Not even close!
They are kinda like building RV's, alot of guys start and few finish. FF's classified section has had alot of partially completed Cobras, over the last couple of yrs, for sale.. Thats what I may do eventually, try to find a bargain.
The weather up here isnt the best for a topless car, you are in the right place for it!!!!
