I took a road trip today to Michigan to visit a friend and see his Corvette collection. He had a set of 1978 Silver Anniversary luggage in a car. Several pieces, arranged and fit perfectly in the back of his '78 Pace Car. Each piece had the silver anniversary logo on it. Perfectly original!

Anybody ever see these before??? This set is cool! I've heard they exist but this is the first time I've seen a set in person. Anybody have an extra set laying around that you can part with? Pfffft...

I had a set when I owned a '78 Silver Anniversary edition. I forgot I had them after I sold the car several years ago...I put them on Ebay and they went quickly.

I saw them offered in an old '70's Corvette magazine that new owners received. They were silver plastic/naugahyde with the C3 logo on them.

If that luggage set came with every SA car, they are not 'rare'. Even if they were an option, so many SA cars were sold, there have to have been many sets made (and nearly that many sets 'stored').

I have a complete set that came with my car when I bought it. I don't know how rare they are, but they are pretty nice. I put mine in a closet and haven't thought about them until I saw this thread. Maybe I'll put them up for sale as I don't plan on ever using them.
