I have a 1978 and just replaced the window motor, now I have a new problem, when I hit the switch the voltage guage moves and I hear a clicking inside the door ?? motor maybe.. but no window movement, could this be a grounding issue?? and where do i look??? thanks alot Mike
you can hear the window motor in the door clicking when i hit the switch down, and the voltage meter moves and the tach too but the window does not.. was just working perfect last time (2 days ago),, as i said the motor is new,,,
its been 4 months and zero problems with it.. no indications of a problem either.. went to roll window down today nothing but what i have stated before
I'm rebuilding my doors now and I noticed that the horizontal track was hitting one of the motor bolt heads and holding up my window. Just a thought...
I ended up going with a rounded (allen wrench) head style. Still comes really, really close but when I push in the door to recreate the issue the track just skips over the head now.
