Default Paint shops in Austin TX?

I tried posting this over in the regional section but no traffic over there, so thought would try here.

I have a paint problem on the rear deck of my C3. Looking for a good paint shop to fix the problem. Not look for a new paint job, just the deck.

Any recommendations in Austin TX area?

I just got my 70, but the best place I have found is Austin Corvette on North Lamar. They are very knowledgable and have a paint booth.

I have always thought of them as a mechanical repair than a paint and body shop. May have to give them a once over.

I have little experience to speak of, but they had a very nice baby blue '70 that they had just finished. It looked like glass. But again, that was just me poking through the bay. You might want to check out Crushproof or South Austin Speed Shop on S. Lamar. Let me know if you find a good paint shop. Always good to know.

Back when Corvette Country was in business their shop had recommended a body shop that was on Lamar a little north of downtown, but I do not remember the location or the name. CC said that they did excellent paint work on Corvettes and other exotics. Any one know that shop?

My boss has a 67 must.....uh....ford and he had a full resto done at Great hills automotive I think its called. It is over near jollyville. That may be the place. There is also a place right by Austin Corvette, it is a few blocks south from them on lamar. They have a bunch of porsches out from. Crap, I will have to drive by it to get the name again.

It's not really Austin but JB Corvette Specialist in the Dallas area only does vettes. I've had his paint for four years now and it's still just as shiny as new.

On the closure note. Brunet Classics is basically no longer. They moved out to Volente Beach and we less than helpful, go to Austin Corvette and talk to Gary Kropat!

I used Custom Car Crafters on McNeil for the Fiberglass hood on my Mustang. They did a great job. They are the place that did Lance Armstrongs GTO on Overhaulin.

I am not sure how close Longview is from Austin but if it is close check out Masterwork restoration. The owner, Tom Aames is an NCRS judge and does great work
