I'm using it on my 81 right now. Use the included spray bottle and work on a 2'x2' or 3'x3' section at a time. Wait about 10 minutes, and you'll see the paint start to peel and shrivel up. The best way to describe what happens next is like watching time-lapsed camera footage of fungus growing - I know, kinda gross, but that's the closest explanation of what happens to the paint.

After about 10-15 minute, just scrape the goo off with a plastic scraper. When you've scraped off all the paint, wash the stripped area with plenty of water. This is very important because the water is what neutralizes the stripper. I found that excess humidity or fog can even slow down the stripping process.

A couple very important items to remember, though. Definitely wear gloves and a mask. When I first got some on my gloved hand, I thought I could feel a slight sensation of heat. Maybe it was just my paranoia, but hey, you can never be too careful! Just a quick rinse with the garden hose and it seemed to stop the heat.

Rubber bumper? I thought the instructions stated not to use the stripper on them, so I just got out the good old sandpaper...I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere in the instructions.

Anyway, hope this helps and good luck!

I stripped my whole car with the stuff. Don't use it on urethane. It will warp and distort it badly. At least it did on my chin spoiler.

Captain Lee's paint stripper. It is the best product for stripping fiberglass. Do not use aircraft stripper, it is too harch for fiberglass and with any kind off paint stripper use protection for your skin and eyes and try not to breath it. If you have prolong contact with your skin , it will cause skin blisters that take years to go away . Ask me how I know. I was young and stupid once.
