In need a little help
Was there a G M Mark of excellence foil label on the drivers side door on a 72 Corvette and were was it positioned on the door.

There was no "Mark of Excellence" sticker on the '72 Corvette. That sticker was started in '67 [I think] and didn't last all that long {maybe a year or two}. The assembly line folks liked to install it upside down or sideways, just to pi$$ off management. Management couldn't get that little problem corrected, so they just dropped that sticker.

GM only used them from 67-69. The 67 Corvette had one placed on both doors, the 69 Corvette only had one on the drivers side door. The 68 Corvette didn't use them and neither did your 72.
