OH NO.........
Why not ? they will not release anything ? have you tried before ?
Texas was great sent them a letter of request & why.....and $15.00 got copies of everything............but they only had records back to 1978 so i'm missing the 1st 10 years. Most of zone 3 was Southern illinois, dealer #'s 292, 345, and 361 these are all pretty close to what i'm looking for # 339 the nearest Missouri i can find is # 395......not that it means anything but, i'm leaning towards Illinois. I can not believe that these codes are available & noone at GM knows what the dealer is or was that matches up to it............that would seem quite easy in comparrision for finding build sheets / tank stickers....Everytime a franchise was opened a dealer code was issued, how hard could this be ? I have the zone & code, but cant find the name or address ? I work for a Chevrolet Dealer & know a lot of people up the food chain, my detective work will begin with a few phone calls in the morning when i get in.............

I'll tell you what...

For $40 bucks.. if I get a letter with typo's, there will be follow-up with NCRS.
For a company so focused on accuracy.. a letter with typos seems ironic.
Not acceptable.

You may want to reach out to Al Grenning for some help identifing the dealer. Al has GM dealer code and zone numbers that were accurate from at least around 1960 to about 72. I was at one of his seminars a few years ago, and he had 2 large binders (6 to 8 inches thick each) listing dealers by zone and code. He had received them from someone at GM, during one of his research visits.

I don't know what he charges for this service, but he doesn't usually provide it for free. Though at the seminar, he did offer to look up the dealer, for anyone you had their info with them.

Al can be reached at www.ccas4vettes.com, or emailed at ccas4@aol.com

Don't get your panties in a wad. I agree the misspelling should not have occurred, but you can find the same stuff in the Corvette magazines.

To their credit the NCRS is working very hard to crank these out as quickly as possible. They got 660 requests the first day they made the info available.

They are asking owners who receive dealer and dealer code information to enter the info in the NCRS dealer data base. Dealers who might be missing today, could end up being in the data base tomorrow.

Panties? Really now? So, it's my issue? Ya know what, don't get your panties in a wad, but if it IS delivered with typo's, I will have them redo it or stop payment. And that's how it works.

I don't mind overpaying to support an Organization.. but have pride in your work product.

And that's my last word on it.

My apologies. The way I look at it, the information is more important than a misspelled word in the text.

PhilaScott: I posted on the NCRS Board earlier this morning advising them of the misspelling. The moderators have deleted my post. It isn't there now.

I meant to be helpful and let them know about the gaff, but apparently someone over there seems not to want to acknowledge mistakes could be made.

Where did you find this info ?
I've been looking at other sites as far back as 2000 and have run across a bunch of dealer and zone numbers that guys have volunteered.
I copied and pasted at least 75 and if someone would like to take the time to sort through them I'll post them.

OK these are sorta in order in the beginning but then they are all over the place. Wish I knew how to make a couple columns. The first part is supposed to be zones. I didn't find the one I was looking for and I didn't find 427Sixpack's , sorry !
