Default 81 spark plug routing

Want to put a new set of plug wires on
-what are some good ones ?
-has anyone routed them differently on a stock engine? ( Pics ) would love to see the routing and wire holders you have
- and how long did it take you?
Thanks

Routing new wires on a C3 is a PITA...pure and simple. Has anyone ever routed them differently? Does the little piggy cry "WEE, WEE, WEE" all the way home? Most everyone rewires with a simpler routing process...except for **** "originality" fools....like me. :o

MSD 8mm wires on mine. Picked up this cheap(15 bucks) wire separator that bolts to the valve cover bolts. Works good enough . Keeps the wires off headers.

Nope, no long boots. 90 degree. Very thick and heavy duty to take the heat.
These are what I have:

It wasn't a "dumb" question....just a 'smart-***' answer in jest.

I so with this. I tried to do it the original way and after sometime i gave up. i just routed them the cleanest way possible and away from the headers. good luck.

I've done it. It is a pain in the assssssss. There are 2 shields on each side and a shield in the lower portion of the block. It can be done just plan on it taking 3 to 4 hours. I have my original engine from my 81. I can post pictures tomorrow if you wish.

I can see I am in for a treat when I do mine on my '81. And I thought LT1 wires with the opti-spark were a PITA. I think I will be re-routing mine. Once done I will post up some pics.
