I have 5500 miles since July , is it me or is it only the rubber bumper cars that are clocking in the thousands.

I put around 7000 miles on this year. I went to Alabama twice ,to a show at Maggie Valley,North Carolina,Bloomington Gold,a C3 show in St.Louis and a lot of 20 to30 mile drives in the summer. With the LS1 in my 73 I averaged 20 in town and 24 on the highway. It was a good summer and next year will be even better with my new Van Steel coilovers.Charlie

I think I "beat" you all so far for 2010 for miles driven, on a sliding scale anyway.
I've only had my 82 since 11/18/2010, did not drive it all this week & I've already put 417 miles on the car!
Imagine if I had it the full year!

Mine's a '69 and the odometer hasn't worked since I bought the car about 22 years ago. I'd guess I put 500-600 miles on it this year.

I just drove it about 20 miles 2 days ago, although after mashing the throttle at 5-10 MPH, I'll bet I put an additional 100-200 miles on the rear tires.

70 LT-1 with 1681 miles before fresh new "bullet" went in August 2010 then about 2300 miles after new motor installation thanks to the TKO600 transmission. If we hadn't have bought a C6 Z06 there would be a few more miles but, the other Vette takes over if the weather/distance is a big factor.

I just finished the 2010 year off with a total of 286 miles. (I must say pretty hard miles for the 79 L-82 4spd) That makes a total of 11,547 miles on the car since new. I have to start driven this car more, enough with milage concerns.

1980 -around 10,000 miles this year. Last 2 weeks of May 6,800 miles. Trip from Virginia to Arizona, Utah and part of Nevada and back. Much of that out in the country. My avatar picture is just south of Page, Arizona.

Bought the Vette 8 years ago with 18,848 documented miles. Now has 100,500 miles. This has been a great Vette; my 3rd. It's all about maintenance. Also gotta love that Tremec 5 speed with 3.54 rear gear.

My odometer stopped at 75,000 miles on my 68. I drive each of my older Vettes about 3,000 miles per year. My newer Z06 about 5,000 miles a year. That's 14,000 miles of aimless pleasure driving a year I will be driving today in the Northeast. No winter slumber . As long as the roads are clear and dry I'm driving, year round.

About 1300 on the 70.

The odometer in the 68 isn't working but probably about the same as the 70.

5500 on the 07.

And about 4000 on the 09 Sierra.

1968, 1942 miles this year. Pretty damn poor actually. I usually put close to 5000 miles on a year. Got a late start this year and then had some steering issues so wouldn't drive it. Garry1999 has my steering box right now so when it gets back I get to wait until spring to see how well it will .

THATS what I like to hear!....Get em out and drive em....

I am appalled at some of the mileage reports here.......really pitiful the amount of mileage people put on these things....And the one post about the rubber bumper cars getting more mileage seems apparent....

I can "somewhat" understand the Northern members here not putting as many miles on with their short season but.....for all the Texas Boys, unless their car is down for resto or major repairs, there is NO reason not to be driving em........and as for major repairs, I did a motor swap, tranny build (twice ) and an IRS restore, along with a bunch of other stuff and still managed to get over 4k miles....

Hell if you work too much to play, drive the Vettes to work..... They are cars, not paintings..... DRIVE THEM...

I could no way justify having a car that I only put 500 miles a year on.....Unless its a $100k car...and even then I wouldn't have it long...

Easy there big fella! There could be any number of valid reasons why somebody didn't drive their Vette too much in a given year. Personal or family illnesses that members might not want to talk about or mechanical issues come to mind. I understand and relate to your passion for driving them. In my case I've been fighting a squealing/belt throwing problem for a long time now and think I finally have it fixed- time will tell. The drive I took the other day was the first time in a long time that I was able to hammer it w/o throwing a belt and it sure felt good. I forgot how angry that little 427 can be- no comparison to your big motor but still not bad. If the belt issue is truly fixed the car will see a lot more use once the winter is over.

The other issue I have is that our summers get mighty hot and I don't have A/C, nor will I get it. This keeps me from taking any extensive outings but we do love taking it out during those beautiful evenings or for short drives to our local car gatherings.

We do get the 08 Z06 out on a regular basis and that's the car we take for anything other than short jaunts for obvious reasons. It sees around 5K miles a year and gets used as was intended.

I'm retired. This is my hobby. I drive on Sundays when it's sunny. My choice. No apologies.
