I love looking at the old dealerships also as many of us do. I think because it's true "Americana".

I work at a Chevy dealorship in Gonzales. Our building is circa 1940`s!!! We are in the process of a complete make over but our building and showroom look just like some of the previous post, wood paneling and all. I`ll ask after the holidays for old pictures. never even crossed my mind but it would be cool to see old pics with cars of my dealorship.

Yes, Baldwin Motion tuned other muscle cars like Mopars, and Dana Chevrolet's performance center actually peddled GT-350 Shelby's which was a shock.

man, talk about bringing back memories. they would slap that dealer plate on the car and away you would go on your test ride.

Clippenger used to sponsor a Corvette Club back in the 70's. My '70 came from Harry Mann and I still have the original license plate frame. It helps that my parents were the original owners. I have all the paperwork, registration going all the way back, and pics of my mom racing it!

I hope you find your "birth parents", jam23059.

Default Guaranty Chevrolet, San Diego

The dealership that sold my '70 ZR1/LT1 Coupe, as well as "The Last L88" '69 Corvette... The photo is dated '58, but looks like a '56 based on all the inventory.

Hey Dan, I loved reading the story of your ZR1. What a car.

Anyone remember the Chevy dealer on Park Ave. in Rutherford NJ? I googled it but nothing came up.
My grandmother bought all her Impalas there. The last a 70 with a 350-350. That thing flew! Also my mom dated a pro baseball player during the 67 & 68 seasons and he ordered a 67 Taho Turquios SS 396-375 Camaro from there. One of the fastest cars I was ever in. He put a set of headers on it and had some other work done to it and it was pushing a bit over 400hp.
They also always had vettes there.
