Default Torq Thrust Prices??? Ouch!!

I just called Summit Racing and Told them what i wanted for rims.
im doing 17"x8" Front 4" b.s @ $259.00 EA
18x10 Rear with 5.25 b.s @ $449.00 Ea

Total cost...$1400+

Add Tires front and rear im at $ 2400ish Taxes and Shipping!!!

im Dead set on this exact rim and tire spacing!! i like the look of Ralley's
Cragars, and torq thrust.. but i think the torqe thrust are the rims that should have come on the c3 factory.. they just "fit" IMO....

What are the prices you guys payed for these things or am i shoping in the wrong spot??? oh yah i also have cragers for sale... here they are in this pic

Yes that car is drop dead Sexy. The tires fit the wheel well very nicely.

yeah the TT's are pricey, though not nearly as pricey as some of the more exotic wheels that dont look half as good. I frankly couldnt afford the TT's and went with the SLP wheels, all 4 wheels (17x8) came in at less than half that price, they are not by any stretch as awesome looking as the TT's though Still I like them.

Enjoy, if your car ends up even half as amazing as Red 73's it will be gorgeous.

Did you check Coys pricing or Boss which are very similar to the TT's, and I believe they are made in America vs China for the TT's.

Shop around. Go over to www.pro-touring.com or www.lateral-g.net and check out some of the venders over there. There are several. I will say this - there is a big price jump from 17s to 18s even with tires. Also check out Vintage Wheel Works. They have prices or there web site and that will give you an idea if you are paying too much. Sometimes you have to "price check" Summit. They are not always the "best" price.

As a side note you may also be able to find a set of used TTIIs in 18x10 as some 1st gen Camaros use 5.5" backspace.

I got mine through TomzWheels.com a few years back.

I am not sure if he is still in the bussiness or not?

I have the TT2 polished 17x8 5x4.75 backspace and Nitto NT 450 255/50-17 tires

I just found my bill and mounted balanced and shipped to my door was $1338

I think 10" is also a custom width now. 9-1/2" might be less.

IIRC, his shop was in Texas. According to a discussion on the LS1 site, Tom, unfortunately, was stricken with cancer, and had to close the business. Last I recall, he was in chemo therapy, but I don't remember how he was doing.....

Go to Vintage Wheel Works and buy 100% USA made wheels rather that American Racing imported junk, centers are made overseas from what I have been told. Link: http://www.vintagewheelworks.com/products/wheels/v45
