The pump on my 70 is leaking. It was rebuilt about 4 years ago and I found a puddle under the car. How big of a pain is it the reseal the pump and what tools are needed?
It's not too hard to do, you will need to rent, buy or borrow a power steering pulley removal and installation tool. the seal kits are fairly straight forward and readily available.
Start with this link and get a seal kit from NAPA or Autozone. Getting the hoses and pump out of the car are as much work as rebuilding the pump.
If you like doing that stuff, it makes for a fun Saturday. You will need a Power Steering Pump Pulley Puller that you can rent from an Auto Parts Store.

Reason: Forgot Puller
I had a power steering puddle under my car and when I finally got under there to look it was only the hose which split, it attaches to the back of the reservoir.
$22 & 1/2 hour on my back and problem solved. Perhaps recently having it rebuilt the hose clamp needs to be tightened, or a split.
