Off-road exhaust question?
If the original buyer of a 68 Corvette ordered "Off-road Exhaust", RPO N11, would the rear exhaust panel have the cut outs for the exhaust tips, or would it have been shipped from the factory with those areas filled in (as a 69 Corvette would have been when "Side mounted exhaust", N14, was ordered)?
Thanks much.
TJ
The N-11 Off-Road Exhaust Option was an under-car system, so no change to the rear valance was necessary.
I believe the Off-Road muffler had fewer baffles than the standard muffler.
The N-14 Side-Exhaust Option (with the closed valance) really was a one year only option...69.

So the 68 Corvettes that came from the factory with RPO N11 (Off-road exhaust), left the factory with the standard exhaust cut-outs in the rear exhaust panel/lower quarter panel area?
Thanks much.

Yes, the N-11 system was 2 1/2" pipe on bb and sb cars, had mufflers that looked like the standard muffler, and had the standard rear valance with chrome bezels and chrome exhaust tips.
You really couldn' tell the difference until the car is started.
