I recently bought a '72, in pieces, and finally getting around to the carburetor. It's a Rochester with ID # 7054918. I've done some research and can't figure out if the carb goes with the car. By all my research I found 7 digits is pre '75 and 8 digits 75 and up. i'm guessing they just didn't stamp in the "1" before the "7054918". 17054918 comes up as a valid ID code. Does anyone have any experience with these ID#s?

Probably a parts store rebuilt back in the day very common.
