It's not too late to change your mind and come to the USS Iowa Paul. Glad you guys had a good turn out. I would like to go to the sept run but too far ahead to commit to it yet

650 miles to Sonora at 12 mpg in 110 heat are you guys crazy!!?!? When does the heat die off up north? I think it's still a box even in aug-sept is it actually a run to Sonora, Ca or just close to it?

still going to try and make Laguna Seca... race... but not looking good... it will just depend on how long it will take to get the new crank, and if I will have to do any machine work... this build only had about 10K miles on it.. will be the 5th or 6th engine... I loose track... I'm pretty hard on them
think while i have it out im going to change the valves to sodium filled, or I think there is some light weight titanium... not sure on this yet, but im going to look into it this week.. kind of one of those ... while im in there things.. i may set it up for Nos.... or maybe a little forced induction,,,, hmmmm....

Yes, crazy does sums it nicely. It's a nice, long road trip to Sonora, CA. The longest trip for my vette yet, but think of the thrills and stories you'll tell your grandkids. Come join us

no... I am not really sure when it happened.... could of happened 2 weeks ago on the redondo beach trip... but it could of also happened the last time i was at the race track, and it just took some time to get bad enough to see it broke.... just don't know for sure... but i do know you can move the hb up and down by hand, and the bolts are rock tight
so right now in stuck in one of the C5's....

For those of us here in So Cal, the cruise to Sonora is going to be a four, (possibly a 5) day trip. So, I / we don't expect too many more, if any, to sign on to this event . . . (from down here)
We will spend the entire first day cruising up through the Gold rush country, via Rt. 49
Day two will be sight-seeing with Les Nunes, who lives in Sonora. Day three, we will hook-up with the Northern group for the day. And Tod is putting together the route back home. We may even spend a night in the Yosemite area. but that's TBD
