That was our thinking while building this car. I don't know about other parts of the country but around here you can find a project 80 vette very easily for $1000.00 to $3000.00. Lets face it everybody has different taste. Some people like to build something unique and different and not just go write a check for something. This car should appeal to those type of people.

I'd love to see it in person. From the pictures, I think it looks great! Would I ever do it to my 79, that a big HELL NO! I also agree that you'd never get your money back doing that kind of modification.

I work in St. Charles right next to Bloomington Gold. I saw this car driving down North avenue a couple of times. The car looked hideous in person.

I support most customs. Hey, it's your car... Enjoy it!
That said... I hate that look. The c3 doors totally ruin the c6 lines. On the other hand, I love this:

This car makes even less sense than the local guy who has a C5 with a C1 conversion kit on it. At least that results in a C1 with some real power from the LS1 running gear. This is a late 70s/early 80s 180 hp pop gun dressed up to look like a 500 hp cannon. The whole point of the C6 is the power train and this conversion gives you the worst of the C3 world with a C6 body. It screams "wanna be". I guess that's just not the message I'd want to send after spending that much money.

why oh why would you take a C3 and then do THAT to it?
makes no sense and costs $9k to do it plus time.
We may need to start having potential C3 owners fill out an application first so they can be screened for sanity.

Those guys put a ton of hours into that car, you can tell, it looks great! I would love to see more pics of the dash and interior, from the one picture I saw it looks very nice. These guys have serious skills! I can not wait to see a convertible!

I saw this car at Carlisle and it didn't look half bad (but as others have mentioned, you'd have to throw a ton of money at it ON TOP OF the body mods so as not to have a sheep in wolves clothing). Buying a new C6 would be cheaper. /:\
