Mid 70's race pics
----------------Ken

Same car but back in Oct 1970 when it was a semi race street car. It became a race car when it hit an apple tree at Topton hillclimb.

Something different. Here's the starting grid sheet for the 6 hr IMSA GT race at Road Atlanta on April 21., 1974. Same race as the pictures of Babe's car. Some neat names on the sheet. Greenwood had the pole with Gregg/Haywood 2nd. We were back at 26th and 34th. ---------Ken

Here's the Bolus and Snopes Camero

Here's Greenwoods car for 1974. I liked this one so much I ended up building a IMSA style street car shortly thereafter.

Another shot of Greenwoods wide body.

The Meyer/Ortman Corvette

Another shot of the Greenwood car

The Jones/Roeleb/Thompkins Camero

The Thompson/Gimondo wide body. This was the first wide body I had seen other than Greenwoods.

It's one of the best threads ever created oh the forum. Lets keep it going.

Peter Gregg's car. Amazing driver !!!

Agor/Pickett Camero

Jones/Roeleb/Thompkins Camero

Some now from a hillclimb at Reading in October 1970. I was on leave while at the race after a year in Vietnam. Now I had a nice 35mm Canon to take pictures with !!!

This car was sponsored by Brandt's Moving in Reading. They had a coupe and roadster both painted the same . Beautifull cars.

The other Brandt Moving car.

This car did have an all aluminum BB in it. Remember this was October 1970 !!!

Not a Vette but really neat.

Same car

Here's some of my racing friends back then. From left Bob Tice ,co driver with Larry Whyte, Babe Headley, then Stan Bystrek and Pete Lee. We used Aviad oil pans and swivel pickups back then and if I remember correctly we were getting some air leakage around the swivel bearing.

The Agor/Pickett Camero followed by the Carter /Delorenzo Corvette

I love those old race-shots. Thanks for posting!
Around 1980, I found the doors off his mid year roadster, for sale in the swap meet at Hershey.
Some time back, we spoke on here about your 66, and I told you that I thought I had pics of it. They were taken in the parking lot at the Delaware Valley Corvette Club show at Bryner Chevrolet in Jenkintown PA, from around 1977/78.
Last night I came across the negative, so I posted it for you here tonight.

I originally posted it in the C1/C2 section, under your post with the pics of the GS 003, but when I came across this post, I decided to post it here too. Just in case you missed in there.
Thanks for posting the pics, they bring back a lot of good memories, even if they do make me feel old!

That's my favorite Greenwood car.
