I finally looked at the pictures a little while ago. I was debating whether or not to look them over, but curiosity got the best of me.
That frame rail sure took a lot of pressure.
All I can say is Jason is lucky to be alive. Someone said he should buy a lotto ticket and I agree!
I had a great time restoring and driving the car. But, I was ready to pass it along and was happy it went to someone so enthusiastic.
We're all sad at the loss of a C3, but accidents happen and in the end it's just a car and can be replaced. I'm sure Jason will get another one some day.
Lives cannot be replaced and I wish Jason a speedy recovery.
I'm pretty sure that car was worth $30K (in case the insurance people are listening!)

Hey Brian....
All I have been able to say is I am alive and am greatful for that. I have to be!
After that though... I want to scream about my car....even my wife hasn't said anything about it yet. While I had it...she just kept saying she had never seen me so happy....and she was so happy I finally had something I always wanted. I woke up everyday and looked at it...I was always smiling...ppl were asking what I wanted to do on my birthday....all I said was drive...I can't talk about it all really yet....its still fresh....I am so sorry the work you put in is gone now...I am so happy I am alive...I miss that car so much tho..

Hopefully the insurance will take care of the car, you take care of yourself and get better.
The anticipation of your next C3 will get you through this!

Just read the story and your posts. As you said and others have as well, the most important thing is your health and thank god you are going to be ok in the end. You loved that car and it made you happy but at the end of the day it is just a car and you can buy another one when you feel better. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
