In my age group cars as "chick magnets" based on appearance or cool is long gone as some way to impress them.

Now, if you drive a Rolls Royce, a Bentley, have the cheauffer pick you both up....that's impressive. A vette? Men with their toys at best. Passe' as a "chick magnet."

That being said, i had to tell my old lady that my engine was damaged. I had to tell her what a DART SHP costs. She looked at my old block and said...that piece of iron is a engine block and it costs 1500 US$...you should have seen her face

Shallow is ok, superficial is ok, slender slim is ok, rich and dumb is a bonus.

AND you are dating for her wonderfull personality or are you too shallow? The car is one of many icbreakers, something for small talk, it's up to you to close.

AND it's relative, they view the ride as an accessory, something they would look good wearing. The country girls here don't bat a lash over my Vettes, but they covet the '90 Silverado stepside.

She's thinking it cost HER USD1500.

Hope you don't mind older women. I'm your age, and girls our age and younger don't give the 'vette a second look, but I do get alot of "Nice car" alot from ladies about the same age as the car

However, none of them want to take a picture of me.

Ain't that right, they always think they have to compete with the car. Hey, maybe if you want to have succes with the girls get an old ugly car. They might think you'll invest the money in them instead ?
