Default Need a quick tutorial on how these headlights work!

Ive isolated the two hoses that run to the vac control assembly but for the life of me I cant get them to actuate the headlights. I can get them to work at the headlight assembly by pulling off the big hoses and hooking them up to a mity vac.

Im stripping the system apart, getting rid of all the HVAC stuff, so I want to bypass all the non essential stuff and just isolate headlight up/down.

I don't know what year lamps or system they used on our car... but from reading your other post you have a 72 with a 81 body..

The systems are different so I've posted both vacuum schematics below.





Now there is also a thread that is running with tons of info on the system and how they work.
