The weather was prefect and a nice, though small selection of C-3's, and some other very interesting cars. It was tough just going as a spectator instead of a participant. Enjoy!

It'll be a while before I start to look to buy another 70. My daughter has 2 more years of college, with my son to follow. Also about to start an addition on the house, so no vette toy for me unless I win a lottery, or inherit a lot of cash!
One can dream though.

I wish! I told Dave, the owner of the 70 LT-1, if he ever plans to sell it some years down the road, to call me first!

Hi Glenn,
I'm glad you're still enjoying going to car shows. You picked some interesting cars.
Can you believe that 440 Stage III, !?!?! Not too many engine compartments THAT fits in.
I always thought 'grocery getters' were cool, and they often fell into such interesting classes!!!!
Regards,
Alan

Cars are in my blood! That 440 is wild and I can't imagine what it's like trying to get parts for that!
Here's a few more very nice cars.

Original owner of this 70 GSX. Note the vette steering wheel. I've known him since 1975, he's a master mechanic and built a hi-po engine for my Dad's 73 Opel GT back then.

So are we to assume the the "friends" girlfriend's husband opened fire? Or did he owe money to someone who's last name ends in a vowel? /:\

Terrorizing Orange Cones
Thanks for sharing the great pics, Glenn. Those are some of the coolest, nicest optioned cars to bring to a show of that caliber. The 2 '67's w/427s, the 2nd Gen Z, the convertible Hemi-Dart, a Motion Vega, the GS-X Buick...wow! And that Wedge 440 in the sleeper wagon: radical, man!
If only the dark '77 with urban gunfire and harmful-to-paint damage could speak to what happened during the course of the "friends" activities that fateful evening?! Guess he was wanted pretty bad to end up the way he did. Scary but fascinating history to the car.
A long time ago in another dimension, I was related to folks with names ending in a vowel or with a "-ez" and their services were offered dirt cheap. Had to make some major changes to that lifestyle long, long ago because I wanted to see my kids and grandkids grow up normally.
Normal like, high-octane, high-compression, high-winding, 1/4 mile racers, .5 mile WoO winged sprint cars, fast boats and fast-old airplanes too. LOL.

[QUOTE=parkerracing;1578753493]I'm not sure the case was solved. The current owner said it happened around 1980. The guy was not killed in the Vette, that he did know.

There's such a variety of beautiful cars and the best thing is I live a mile up the hill from the river front where the show is held every year.
